It's a part of African American Vernacular English, the language has it's own rules and regulations evolving from when black's were slaves in the south of America. Why do we not just say "ask"? Because we have our own way of saying the word, just like how the Irish, British, Norwegians, etc, other English speakers have their own way of saying certain word's. It's beautiful, it's language, and we like it.not a racist post but i’m curious why they do this why not just say ask?

Except we made the English language, can't necessarily use us as an example. It's a part of African American Vernacular English, the language has it's own rules and regulations evolving from when black's were slaves in the south of America. I can because it would be considered a distinct dialect, just like AAVE, Hiberno English, etc.Except we made the English language, can't necessarily use us as an example.
