Yesterday I saw the doctor, first time in my life
And guess what he told me — “Girl, drop that strife.
Leave that loser, any man with sense
Would’ve claimed your heart without defense.”

Since then I wander through the night,
Sleep all day, avoid the light.
Bars and clubs, I chase the sound —
I spat at my own soul, broke me down.

While you're sweating with some stranger, chasing thrills,
I would still be your carpet, under heels.
Let you walk on me, tear me apart,
I’d still beg for crumbs from your heart.

Today I saw the doctor again, round two,
He gave me pink pills, said, “They’ll help you through.”
But no dose, no spell, no magic wine
Could pull your curse out of this heart of mine.

Sometimes I meet someone, get lost for a sec,
I think I’m healed, I’m back on deck —
But the devil returns in a darker shape,
‘Cause my love for you… just won’t escape.
