It's the mixing with the neolithic Zagros-related farmers that messed up the looks/phenotypes of these populations. On their own, high AASI/South Asian hunter gatherers looked good or would look good with right styles but mixing with Zagros leads to issues.

it's a mixed bag, the zagros/iranian farmers is the reason some of us have shitty orbitals, but without them, a lot of mostly ASI curries that don't hve much steppe would be super darkskin

It's not even some, the Zagros stuff is responsible for the bug eyes and the hook/pronounced noses. You're right about the coloring thing from the ASI thing but I feel like the color would work with the features. For example, you look more AASI and less Zagros influenced which works in your favor, with the positive impressions you get from others.

Do you think a pure AASI+Steppe mix would look better?

I guess you could say so, although my perspective is that the features compensate for the color. Even then appealwise it's rough

And I suppose, but my coloring could also be much worse. Like if I was anymore darker, I don't think I could pass for mixed as easily. So the neolithic farmer ancestry helped me in that regard

In general yeah, bonewise you wouldn't hve to worry as much, but coloring would vary a lot depending on the percentages
