Accutane or Tretinoin for skin quality

I posted a thread earlier abt accutane vs tret but I think people were confused as to what i'm after

I have some acne but it's basically all inactive

The main thing I want to know is what's better between them when it comes to overall skin quality improvement

accutane much better for acne especially acne that you’ve had for a while + if your skin gets remotely dry I wouldn’t recommend accutane, it’ll dry you out like crazy

tret is better for overall skin since it’s a retinoid so it helps with acne and aging
but if you’ve had acne for a long time trets not gonna do much

most of my acne is old so you can still see stuff but it's not really active

i used to use 10mg accutane everyday

i never really had THAT much acne either

i started having acne the first day of junior year so about 2 years ago

it used to be worse, still not horrible, but worse than it is now, however, that could be for multiple reasons
