I don't get like razor bumps or ingrowns but I get like slight redness and goosebumps like right after I shave but the day after its fine. any reason for this? I exfoliate before every time w tree hut sugar scrub and soak in warm water for 5-10 minutes then use eos shaving cream then shave and apply lotion afterwards, I also use the 3 blade Venus razors

Shave in the same direction as the hair grows and use a one blade men razor it is more gentle

Totally normal reaction. It's just irritation from the blade and skin calms itself overnight. Only thing to change is to exfoliate the day before instead of right before, scrubbing then shaving back to back sensitizes the skin more.

Have you tried nair? It’s honestly not too harsh on my skin at least and if ur really worried you could use the face one on ur legs

used to do nair bc my mom wouldn't let me shave and gave me a rash all over every time

Oh no 😭😭 you might want to talk to a dermatologist it sounds like your skin is very easily irritated

leave the shaving cream on for 2 mins before shaving and turn the water cold as soon as you're done!!

Yeah basically like cckstacy said, buy a safety razor, a shaving brush, shaving cream and a blades sample.
Don't get fooled by the marketing targeted to women, you don't need pink razors

Shave only with the grain and accross the grain, avoid against the grain.
Use a brush and a proper shaving cream to create a slick lather

Things i recommend :
- Muhle R89 or King C Gillette safety razor
- Any blades sample on amazon or you can try the ones at your local stores it's dirt cheap.
- Yaqi brushes on Aliexpress
- Proraso White or Blue cream for sensitive skin or the Palmolive shaving cream if you can found it at your local stores.

Scrubbing and exfoliate is meaningless as ingrowth hair grow under the skin, it's better to start fresh with a clean one blade cut at the same level than skin, and you'll get far less irritation too

If you have questions, don't hesitate sis
