Lack of nutritions and bad hormone regulations, if it isn’t linked to chromosomes obviously.

Why tf didn't you make the votes public? This could have been great to know who thinks yes and who thinks no

Im pretty sure you can see how many votes for each

I dont think you can see who voted for each

If you talk or listen to detransitioners and talk to actual trans people you realise they have some type of trauma regarding their gender so instesd of going to therpy and seeking help maybe realising they dont like their gender because of an assult or abuse or bullying they say nah im trans instead of actually fixing the problem. Ive noticed this a lot talking to trans people

You could inject a trans person with T and it just makes them suicidal so it doesn’t work
there is a lot more to this topic tbh and I don’t have the energy to write a lot I’d definitely recommend you to look into it

If you think that you can change your gender you need help

If a human cant change to a frog they cant change there gender
honestly, I think the lack of basic understanding here is kind of staggering. Gender dysphoria, which is the clinical term for what trans people experience, is actually recognized as a legitimate diagnosis in the DSM-5. It's not some random 'decision' to switch genders, it's about reconciling the mismatch between one's internal sense of self and their physical body.

The whole 'if you can't change into a frog, you can't change your gender' argument is so ridiculously flawed it's almost hard to take seriously. Gender isn't some arbitrary thing like choosing to be a frog or a cat hose are completely different concepts. Gender is a complex, multifaceted aspect of who someone is, tied to biology, psychology, and even social factors.
You know, people have been transitioning for centuries it's not a new 'fad.' there's actually a huge body of research showing that transitioning helps improve mental health and quality of life for trans individuals. So, no, it's not a 'mental illness' to want to live as your authentic self; in fact, ignoring that reality is what's harmful.

But I guess it's easier to rely on outdated, childish comparisons than, I don’t know, doing actual research and maybe understanding the lived experiences of millions of people? Just a thought.

I have not looked into the studies myself, but if you are correct then I presume the reason for the stereotype of depressed transgender people likely derive from discrimination and being seen as just a sex fetish and nothing more than that? Just a guess.

I looked into it. Here is a meta-analysis of 27 studies determing if or how regretful people were after having gender affirming surgery.

Here is the abstract, methods and conclusion from it.

Abstract

Background:

There is an unknown percentage of transgender and gender non-confirming individuals who undergo gender-affirmation surgeries (GAS) that experiences regret. Regret could lead to physical and mental morbidity and questions the appropriateness of these procedures in selected patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of regret in transgender individuals who underwent GAS and evaluate associated factors.

Methods:

A systematic review of several databases was conducted. Random-effects meta-analysis, meta-regression, and subgroup and sensitivity analyses were performed.

Results:

A total of 27 studies, pooling 7928 transgender patients who underwent any type of GAS, were included. The pooled prevalence of regret after GAS was 1% (95% CI <1%–2%). Overall, 33% underwent transmasculine procedures and 67% transfemenine procedures. The prevalence of regret among patients undergoing transmasculine and transfemenine surgeries was <1% (IC <1%–<1%) and 1% (CI <1%–2%), respectively. A total of 77 patients regretted having had GAS. Twenty-eight had minor and 34 had major regret based on Pfäfflin’s regret classification. The majority had clear regret based on Kuiper and Cohen-Kettenis classification.

Conclusions:

Based on this review, there is an extremely low prevalence of regret in transgender patients after GAS. We believe this study corroborates the improvements made in regard to selection criteria for GAS. However, there is high subjectivity in the assessment of regret and lack of standardized questionnaires, which highlight the importance of developing validated questionnaires in this population.
