aesthetics = perceived value as a person
some of aesthetics is perceived value as a person. all of it is just conveying a vibe.

I get what your saying. Art is a form of communication. we communicate status and affiliation through art.

I guess that somewhat disproves my point maybe

It’s important for me

if you view art as a general expression of human creativity then yeah. If we're talking entertainment then no.
I was looking at it from an economical and political standpoint

What's wrong with art?

I was looking at it from an economical and political standpoint
fuck, i didn't even think about it that way lol. I can kinda get economical but how do you think art is important from a political standpoint?

What's wrong with art?
I just think early millennials and after like art a bit too much. and post hoc the reasons why in order to validate their love for it

political standpoint?
More refined art that can be enjoyed by a wider variety of people = more soft power

People viewing your country in a more positive light subconsciously, like Japan which has a very mode of art, architecture etc.

Very important if you want to attract tourists, foreign companies etc.

If you don't have soft power ( Like Japan ), a country would need to excessively liberalise their markets ( Like Thailand ) which leads to all sorts of problems
