Now, the sense (opinions, etc.) that an individual has of themselves (including their sense of value, acceptance, etc.) is shaped by a psychological function called the "ego." Contrary to the common notion that "ego" means overrating oneself, in psychology, the ego refers to the function by which an individual discovers and asserts who they are based on their own original notions. Thus, someone with a strong ego is not necessarily someone who praises themselves excessively, but rather someone who can autonomously form a sense of their own identity.

But to distinguish masks is not to have an ego. Having an ego is having a autonomous identity behind every mask. Is having something beside masks. Being someone constructed and defined not by outside world and not by the interactions with it

i like to assume by default that i know nothing and that whatever i'm good at that somebody else is 100x better. i do think whenever i get glazed for doing more than the bare minimum tho is always nice and does make me feel like tough shit for a good ol 4 seconds
 
Everyone has an ego. It's a shield from our true selves. We don't like to see our true selves because it will quickly become apparent that we are nothing special. We are not nearly as smart or as good looking as we like to think.

If you ask everyone what they rate themselves in attractiveness out of 10, you will see that most people will rate themselves above average, this obviously can't be the case. People perceive themselves as much better than they actually are and are often incredibly oblivious to their real level of looks, intelligence, status, etc. This is particularly the case for women. Women are very disillusioned to their true selves because their ego shield has not been broken, it is rather easy to build a huge ego due to the influx of average men wanting them. Women love to wear copious amount of makeup for this very reason, to protect their ego shield. It's also why women are very insecure, their biggest fear is not being attractive enough for the man they want (chad).

What you witnessed there is people's sense of ego being crushed in real time, it is pretty interesting to see imo. How quickly their demeanor changes.

I experienced ego death on LSD, it was probably the worst experience of my life. I finally saw my true self and despite already thinking low of myself, every last bit of confidence/ego I had left was destroyed.

As stupidly obvious as this sounds, most people aint shit. There is always going to be someone who will make you feel awful about yourself, a constant comparison of others is what makes people vain and jealous. There will always be someone more taller, richer, beautiful, more status etc. This is also why I don't look down on people, I realised my worth and I want to achieve more for myself and not other people. Comparison is something you can't escape and will always be there. it's human nature.

To answer it honestly, I try to act like I have one sometimes, but deep down I hate myself (cagefuel I know).

I have an ego the size of Jupiter, thats why I have to be perfect and loved with no effort I will go up to a store and start shooting
But I do kind of understand that I am pretty much the ultimate inferior girl

Its over because I can't find a way to make my own money with my current skillset and limitations

I"ll also need genioplasty and a clavicle reduction along with maybe rib removal so I can look less stocky without needing to starvemaxx along with that one korean jaw surgery
