Story time. So I have two brothers, and I’m the middle child :thisisfine:. It’s crazy to me how my older brother, who is lactose intolerant, grew to be the tallest - an actual 2 meter colossus. Meanwhile, I can drink milk but didn’t have much of it, grew 10 cm less, and my younger brother, who chugged milk like water, ended up the shortest. The big milk conspiracy is real… although my experience is very subjective. I think Europe is tall cause of Bergmann's rule and mate choice, not milk.

TLDR: my oldest lactose-intolerant brother out grew milk juicers.

The drink milk to grow advice is mostly a cope, it's almost entirely down to genetics. Just stick to a balanced diet as a kid. What’s even more fucked up is how they push milk on kids but rarely talk about the importance of water, which is actually way more essential.

we should make a must-read for children that join here. Like the basics of good habits, diet (hard foods) and healthy fitness (walking, swimming). I would have been so much more happier if someone guided me in the right direction when I was in puberty.

tbh all that @Whitepill natural bullshit grew on me and I've come to realize that maybe a 'natural' diet is actually good, but it's not about eating natural, but more about HARD, well-balanced foods.

Look up naturalistic fallacy and never fall for that again

I have always seen kids who were fat grow up to be tall.
One of my cousins(F) somehow reached 165cm even though my moms whole family is dwarf .She was fat as a kid .
I don’t think genetics has anything to do with her height becuz both her parenst are short asf.
Was your brother fat as a kid

Genetics + milk was just a nutrious beverage. Eating eggs or meat or fish do the same things

What makes us grow taller was the access of food in large quantities, not starving during our childhood.

Milk was just a kickstart when we were babies, when the mother wasn't able to produce enough human milk

This is strange because a higher bf% starts puberty earlier, and early puberty tends to lead to shorter height. So it’s actually the opposite -fit kids often grow taller.

My older brother was skinny.

ha-ha, here’s another funny thing I like to think about with this info: basically, if you have twin friends, the shorter one is probably the parents’ favorite since he was spoiled more with sugar. I know a pair of twins, and the shorter one is actually happier and more outgoing, while the taller one is quieter. It’s kind of sad when you really think about it :sadge:

Was it pasteurized? Pasteurized milk and if the cows have bad hormones can be a net negative in terms of health

There’s also a fuck ton of other factors, very nuanced take imo

milk is 90% water

I’ve looked it up, but it’s a fallacy within itself
its the same appeal to nature fallacy i told ya about 😉
stilly oure right id say most of the time nature wins does not make it 100

Drinking water is useless in a natural standpoint, milk enzymes are far more beneficial

You can still apply natural rules to negate the fallacy. For example even calling it a fallacy assumes that we are above nature when we are animals

True didn’t think about that.

it’s overrated though.
Pasteurized milk is overrated yeah. Raw milk is legit though, obviously genetics are law but when you get proper nutrients it helps a lit
