Pottengers cats is , for the most part, a useless study
i talked about it here:https://forum.looksmaxxing.com/threads/my-critique-of-pottengers-cats-and-its-use-for-humans.22497/
So ive known for a hot minute now how flawed of a study it is, and well this , put the nail in the coffin to say the least.
1. Calorie deprivation
2. blatant nutrition deprivation
Obviously people are gonna be deformed lmao, water as fuck
The proportions were the same but the calorie and nutrient differences were excessively different, due to cooking vs raw.
3. The changes in the cats structures in such a quick period of time was also partially due to the blatant malnutrition but specifically the lack of the beta amino acid taurine
This amino acid is essential and cats and was found to be the main reasons why these horrible, fear mongering things happened in the cats in the study
When supplemented with taurine none of these changes occured, and if changes did occur they were minimal
Theres also an issue with the reliance on casein protein, as it is known to cause abnormalities in felines
From a logical stand point as well, the study was conducted in 10 years. Its been around 80 years since the experiment, and not all cats are horribly deformed, likely just taurine deficient or casein reliant cats.
For humans, they tend to retain more taurine so it would be less of an issue but obviously you have to consume animal products still.
In conclusion, pottengers cats is an outdated study that is no longer relevant or useful for the discussions of the benefits of raw primal/raw meat diet.
Theres still other things proving a raw diets value but this is far from it.
