Capitalism or socialism?

I personally prefer socialism as an American but it varies by culture.
i like free-market capitalism since it gives people more of an illusion of choice, but i like the premise of everyone's needs being met through socialism. i just don't think either idea has been executed well. any system where people die of hunger or lack of clean water isn't a good system

i don't think people should be punished for being unable to get a leg up in the current job market. ill speak from my experience living in the usa but most people are one step away from homelessness at any given moment. you could get sick, pay a visit to the er, and then lose literally all of your saved income from one bill. homeless rates are around 40-60% in the states. meanwhile the reported unemployment rate is 4.3%. it doesn't add up

True most if not all systems are flawed
