They got freedom from Russia in 1991 yet they carry on their Russified surnames.
Makhmudov, kadyrov, jalolov, rakhmanov, naimov, aliyev. These kind of names are still common there.
What do they want to tell to others by having such surnames? That they bow down to Russians?
Atleast Brits didn't turn Indians into son, ton, field, wood. I know a guy of an Indian missionary college who went from Tewari to Tewarson after converting to Christianity
