1. There's no fun dopamine like reps.
Reps, alerts, even as some deny it are really fun to have, makes you feel good.
2. Productivity
It's way easier to say and create shit that you actually want to do on this forum, while discord is more likely to devolve into slop posting
3. Organized convo's
Not every thread, but most. Way easier to keep track of conversations and get everyone involved, there's a topic for everyone and if someone doesn't have a topic they can make a thread
4. Instant messaging
It's extremely addicting to have instant messaging, with the forum it's easy to manage for the most part when you log off, you aren't receiving constant messages
5. Cautiousness
People are way less cautious on discord then forums, because only a select group of people can see the messages. On forums, the entire internet technically has access to everything except must reads and ratings, and then you have 40,000 users who have access to those two, not even counting rejected accounts.
