I have EXTREMELY dry hands and feet so what I do is put a layer of a good lotion, then a layer of some good body oil, then a layer of Vaseline or aquaphor and put plastic gloves on for an hour or 2.
Dont wash hands after just rub the excess on your body or a towel
Shouldn’t be slippery after just moisturized
 
Ur moisture barrier’s prob damaged, I kinda hve ocd with hand washing so I used to suffer with that. U could do the socks or cotton gloves thing. I just use heavy creams like okeefs night cream and then neutrogena hand cream in the morning

What do you use to wash your hand ? I recommend to wash your hands with a glycerin soap and then apply fast absorbing pure glycerin on hands before going to bed
