I know there's a lot of young people on here, and I was curious if anyone is interested in enlisting with their government's military? Like, when you turn a certain age, do you want to enlist? If yes, why so? If no, why not?

I had to enlist 2 years ago. Got half naked to access my physic and the guy wrote 10/10 in the military sheets. Received more narcissistic supply there then I had in all my previous dates combined. Brutal.

Army can be a good thing : Learning firearms use, physical fitness, CQC, creating strong friendships, learn vehicle mechanics, new technology etc etc alongside a good pay sometimes.

But rn with the risks of wars everywhere around the globe, it's not a good idea. Personally i'll strickly refuse to go dying for "France" (meaning Europe/Israel orders". I rather break my 2 legs with an axe than go dying for an agenda

CS job market’s going to shit cause of h1bs and ai

If I can’t get a CS/IT government/defense job after maybe a year of searching, then idk, the officer route’s seems more and more appealing, better job security and benefits

i like explosives and firearms, seems cool to just be on the back running a drone or something
