But they usually base it off names and not the post content itself. It depends from person to person. They want to oppose to oppose, whoever irked them originally. this forum would very different if people were always switching up posting styles, or all used the same posting style, had anonymous names. Discussion is likely to occur in very different mechanisms.
For example, I did a social experiment on a forum. Me and a fella posted the same content, spread out by a couple of weeks. people didn't know me, they receive my post much better despite it saying the literal exact same shit. Everyone does this with at least someone, and if you haven't found that person you likely don't interact with enough people to see that. This is typically people who move on the offense, they never create their own content worthy of attack. or the other person just doesn't care about their targeted contrarian efforts.
TLDR: People often judge posts based on the poster’s identity rather than the content itself. Just like real life. This why anon boards are ideal, none of this pseudo real life dogshit
