no i want them off putting and weird and peculiar, the kinda guy that would yap to me about their most random interests, even though I don't know anything about it. a weird quiet guy who people would kind of suspect to be a murderer, school shooter vibes

lol sorry I forget new members don't know plus I have it in my bio. i love really anything by the cure, i love scary bitches especially the album lesbian vampires from Outer space and sitting in the graveyard, i love bauhaus favorite song by them is definitely the passion of lovers, i love me some S&TB but almost every goth does lol.

Listen to The Unnatural World by HANL and The great Annihilator by Swans, most "goths" overlook these bands and albums when they're really some great innovative and moving albums

Deathconsciousness by HANL, quite literally the albums that turned me to post-punk

The great Annihilator and White Light from the mouth of infinity, White Light has some amazing walls of sound and imo The Great Annihilator is the quintessential goth album

Pornography by The Cure, 13.13 by Lydia Lunch Closer by Joy Division are amazing depressing albums that showcase the emotional potency of the genre.

Juju by Siouxsie and the Banshees is just pure entrancing voodoo magic, Siouxsie's vocal performances are mesmerizing.

Some of the darkwave songs Xiu Xiu have made like their cover of Frosty the snowman, stupid in the dark and Botanica de Los Angeles are simply amazing + the gothic touch of their covers of Into the Night and Falling from the original Twin Peaks soundtrack (Falling being imo a top 10 gothic rock track ever made).

Daughters with their final album has a bit of a gothic touch with the songs Satan in the wait (another song I think is a top 10 gothic rock track), Less Sex, Daughter and Ocean song among their industrial noise rock sound.

Already got diagnosed with Asperger's, Im passionate about music, I went deep into goth rock stuff but I wouldn't consider myself a "goth", I have grown to hate that term when it isn't associated with its musical roots.

lol dw im autistic aswel, the term Asperger's is outdated BTW, it's just low support needs autism. And I agree its purely music and political based (since Goth is a derivative of punk after all if you walk into the history of it). i do dress goth but that's more of personal style stuff I see goth as something anyone can be just as long as they listen to the music
