So my theory is that it’s an evolutionary trait that was made for men. Being more aware, being more cautious of certain figures, having a higher iq is all an advantage especially in men.

what youre saying is something known as the "extreme male brain theory." this theory is controversial, and majorly lacking. the results are inconclusive and inconsistent, so its a failed experiment and theory to put it simply. a combination of genetics, brain development, and environment leads to neurodivergence. testosterone isnt a factor like you think it is

secondly men are diagnosed with autism more than women (~4:1) partly due to diagnostic bias, but its gotten much better in modern times. the characteristics of neurodivergence in men and women can differ greatly due to the differences in our brains. because research on most illnesses was initially conducted only on men, more male symptoms are thought to be the standard. this isnt to make a point about men vs women, or who is more disadvantaged, its just the facts and science of it all. women often present differently (such as social imitation) or conceal characteristics better, which results in underdiagnosis. the disparity is less than most people believe

another point: neurodivergence does not equaal higher IQ at all. when you look at the overall population and dont cherry pick, its not always a characteristic they possess. some have above average IQs, some ordinary IQs, and some intellectual disabilities. its a spectrum as they say. the high iq and being more aware thing is a big stereotype and only pertains to a subset. they wouldnt be as outcast as they actually are if that were the case for the majority

just seems like you’re trying to describe those common shortcomings in autistic people in a positive way tbh

being awkward and interacting badly in social settings doesn’t directly mean higher awareness and i wouldn’t even go as far as saying the two are related all that much

also more distrust isn’t necessarily a good thing and probably made it harder for autistic people to live normal lives and integrate well into society and form communities in the past

from what i’ve seen autism also doesn’t directly ‘increase’ iq either, but rather leans towards more ‘extreme’ iq whether that be low or high
