Gatekeeping good comic book storylines from a lot of the new readers is ontologically good

There’s genuinely no harm done in doing it, it’s a neutral thing at worst.

There’s still plenty of slop to go around, that’s literally what slop is for, to fill the void of good quality products

It does no harm, they will find other comic storylines to read

When it comes to art the person who makes the art is doing a lot to meaningfully better and shape society, but that also applies to the people who are consuming it. A tasteful discerning audience who demands greatness is actually literally ontologically just as important in producing great art that advances society

But there’s been a replacement. All the tasteful nerds with insane knowledge on comics that actually would do stuff like write in with insights have been replaced by something new, by something that’s a little bit less discerning.

That lack of taste, that does tangible harm to the medium that NEEDS to be repaired

These new “fans” need to be migrated back to where they came from. I don’t know where
