Serious Getting my haircut tomorrow, please help (need women if possible)

I have a wavy middle part type of flow with curtains, I’ve been growing it out for 5 months now and it’s a good length. But I want it to get cleaned up, so I’m going to a salon to get my haircut by a woman since they have experience in LAYERING. However, i’ve never done this before. I usually only get tapers. What do I ask for? I’m looking to clean it up and add more flow and volume.
