Today especially, has been a day where women I don't even know have just kinda said 'hi' while passing by. It's making me more confident tbh.
Once when I was sitting in my highschool atrium for one of my online classes, I noticed this white girl I barely knew named Payton or smth looking at me out of the corner of my eye while she was talking with (what I'm assuming was) her friends.
Its worth noting I didn't immediately think she was looking at me, at first I actually thought she was just looking at whatever was happening behind the table I was sitting at.
But there wasn't a lot of people there in the area to begin with because everyone else who didn't have E-learning/a spare period would've been in a classroom.
Eventually after a bit of time I decide to actually make eye contact with her and she immediately waves hi and like tries to control a small smile forming on her face. It was pretty cute to be honest. I just smiled and did that upward head tilt that people do to say hi (or whatever it's called)
Another time today was when I was taking the bus somewhere, some Indian girl gets on, locks eyes with me, and just right away says hi to me in a quiet kinda voice. I say hi back because that's the nice thing to do.
Then like a minute or so later I look back from where I'm sitting to see what stop we're at, and I notice her peering at me still. I just look to her and smile, and then just kinda went back about my day.
I'm assuming something I'm doing is working considering this has become more of a prevalent thing as of recent.
