My credentials: I'm pretty nice

1) MOTIVES: When you decide to reply to a thread or message, ask youself what is the person's motive behind the message. If it is to hurt you, insult you, etc then read the following steps

2) THINK: Are they joking? Are they worth your time? Don't expend energy on a reply that is not going to benefit you! It is best to remain calm. People will view you as a calm person and thus will be less likely to want to be rude to you more

3) WHO: Who is behind the message? Think of what the other person thinks they will gain from starting an argument with you. Do NOT give them the satisfaction. Is the person mentally sane? Is the person known for this behavior?

3) PREDICT: What will the outcome of the situation be if you give in and reflect someone's bad attitude? Will you benefit at all from it? Will u gain any friends or knowledge, two very important things!

4) KNOW: know that what they are saying is most likely not true or not very insulting or worrisome in the real world. If you are secure of yourself and who you are, what others say will not bother you

5) BE NICE OR NEUTRAL: people are less likely going to want to push your buttons if you are known as kind or normal. If you're rude to everyone don't be surprised when people are rude back.

Isn't this great!?

is it bad that i attack other people when i feel attacked

No. We all relay and react to information differently. I would be lying if I said I never did this
yea, I'm an empathetic person although modulating correct emotions seems kinda contrived to me. I prefer to spread positiveness though, even if I'm too foolish to truly connect with someone.

lost the loml because of my lack of interest, and it still hurts me tbh. btw it's nice to have someone urging empathy amongst most brash people.

I cannot judge you my friend. I am the same. Someone can preach something but not practice it all the time. I am sorry you lost a valuable connection. I've lost some due for the same and other reasons.

something i would like to add to this thread, if possible: most people aren’t inherently empathetic. it does take a lot of mental training and changing your behavior constantly to naturally change. the steps above work under the assumption that what you’re about to do is something you wouldn’t want done to you. “how would you feel about x, y, and z being done to you?” and a lot of the time they’re defending x y and z because they probably wouldn’t react the same if done to them.

if it’s a personal goal of your’s, you will struggle since it’s not inherently apart of your every day thoughts or practice. it’s ok to struggle tho. more than likely you’ll overcompensate or give up and lash out, etc. you will find the right middle ground but if being empathetic is truly the end goal, it should work the longer you try. it’s like muscle training. you don’t start out benching 350 lbs, yk. at first, you will feel like you’re faking it or lying, etc. becuz you deadass are LMFAO but don’t let it demoralize you.

the second you stop is the second you’ve accepted your current situation.

hey uh how do i respond when my n*****s slap my ass my ass or hit me? i dont wanna hit them or lose a friendship because they r really rich and they buy me stuff

I like being mean tho
