Ok so basically when i was abt 5 my dad lets call im chris abused my mom lets call her sarah ok so chris abuses sarah they file for divorce sarah gets custody, fastforward almost 12 years later chris has came here to visit me a ton and i enjoy it alot and id REALLY love to move in with him back in arizona (im in florida) BUT id have to tell sarah that and go to court and i dont have the guts to tell her bc i love her too but i js think id be happier with chris rather than sarah

i’m gonna be honest with you if i was your mother and you did this i would never talk to you ever again. you are 17 you are almost 18 anyway. it’s ok to maintain a relationship with your father but i would be careful, there’s no way to know he’s changed. i understand where you’re coming from, i grew up without my mother and so i have strong feelings towards her but my father was there for me and raised me my entire life into adulthood, i would never even think to betray him like that. at the end of the day you’re 17 and old enough to make rational choices, what’s important is that you actually think about what you are doing and what it means for you

do you have problems at home right now? do you and your mother get along? you haven’t lived with your father so you have no way to know what life with him would be like. think about these things first

She has so much stress and resentment to me for no reason, she is always unreasonably mad at me for problems she created, and shes addicted to various drugs that make living with her unbearable
