Hi! I'm new in this forum and, at least for the moment, really ignorant about many terminology and things from this community. What should I know before starting my journey of impriving myself?

I'm looking to improve myself and, mainly, stop feeling ugly. I was obese at the beggining of my puberty and been going for the gym for 3 years. Anyway, I don't feel that comfortable yet. I notice that a lot of looksmaxxers (or blackpillers. Idk exactly) use words that I can't comprehend much, like sub3, contractions or initial. And, how can I know that I'm making things right and not, well, just wasting my time and effort into something that won't have any substantial results at short, medium or long term?

Is there any words you don't understand ? Sub3 means that it's someone below 3/10 facially, so we'll below average. Tbh I don't know what contractions or initials mean in a looksmaxxing context.

Not much, really; dieting.
