Dada?Ha! Would you look at that it's almost November, I made this thread in June and time has passed very quick. Nonetheless I'll still answer your question. Yes, I'm in my mid 40s, currently a Latvian citizen, and yes I currently self identify as a monk. My original thread was about patikulamanasikara for young practitioners, it's by far the easiest method I've found and I wanted to share it, as the name itself suggests its about contemplating the more putrid aspects of a body, to save your energy and more importantly to save the ariya spirit. I understand it can be harder for younger people as our testosterone only begins to decrease as we get later into our 30s, and I had trouble during those times too, my advice is to try and look for an energy outlet. Preferably something not like a sport club because it will have lots of other men who will raise our testosterone and make suggestive comments that might end up triggering a relapse in us. Jogs, calisthenics would all be better than that of course. A friend has just sent this really good clip of a non c-sear that might help you understand the bhavana I'm hinting at.
