If hope is the last thing you have left, then why there's people that commited suicide?

We can control how we feel, how we see things. Meaning that we can only control what we perceive in our inner self.

Based on the first question, could this mean that people that kill themselves are mentally weak?

Literally NOTHING happens after you kill yourself, at most your family will cry for a few years -- there are ZERO benefits unless you were suffering from some kind of chronic physical pain, it is the WEAKEST thing you can POSSIBLY do.

Agreed.

That little voice saying there’s hope
It’s lying

Hope is an emotion, not really a thing we all share. Not everyone has hope. Even the most hopeful of people, nobody is hopeful 24/7. Even if you feel like you have full control of your inner dialogue, you're still vulnerable occasionally.

Suicide is equally as weak as displaying uncontrollable anger (like punching a wall), I would not say its more or less weak compared to other intense actions done in emotional distress.

I think viewing these things through the lens of weakness or strength is the wrong mindset though. It is what it is. People regulate and react differently to situations. Comparing and ranking them is a waste of time.

Suicide can be a rational answer to a life that's not worth living. Doesn't mean you lost hope, life just didn't give you enough.

I'd say killing yourself does takes some balls, so wouldn't call it weak. You're literally going to the unknown (scary place).

I fully agree with both statements

you can't call weak a person for killing themselves because they act and react way different than you do.

and it really takes some balls to make that decision, you have to be literally on the edge to make that call.

I believe much of it's looked down upon because you're inverting the moral obligation from you owing to life, to life owing to you.

As many people living view it as such. You owe to the people close to you, you owe to abstract ideas like potential, you owe to the biological aspect of life too. But by killing yourself, you invert it to life owing to you, and frame it not giving you enough. And this challenges the way people view life and justify their own suffering, so it carries a stigma and a uncomfortable feeling for the living.

Just some nightly rambles, and food for thought.

Very beautiful response, had to read twice

Yes I believe the catharsis plays a big role here, and those "fake feelings" I would call them, that makes you want to succumb into death itself.
