my schedule currently is such that i only really have time between 5 and 6 pm to eat in peace

i can't bother having those faggy 57 kcal meals at work, so it's been one giga meal per day in the aforementioned period

i've lost 14 kg in the last 10 weeks with 0 exercising, so i guess it does something. around 25 more and i'm good to go

Ok I guess you answered yourself in the thread

i'm concerned it has some downsides that arent instantly obvious. clearly you're gonna lose at least some weight if you eat 1500 instead of 4000 kcal. btw, this is with me still drinking, so i could have lost more

you fuck there are obvious downsides the main one being Blood glucose fluctuations. I can link studies that are not hard to find

A randomized crossover trial (JAMA, 2007) found that people eating 1 meal/day had higher glucose levels and delayed insulin response compared to 3 meals/day—even though weight loss was similar; Research in The Journal of Nutrition (2013) shows muscle protein synthesis is optimized by spreading protein over 3 meals, not just one.
