I feel like this is very straight-forward but it took me way too long to figure out my actual bra size and how important it is - not only is it like 100x more comfy it also prevents stuff like gapping showing in tighter tops, etc.

Band vs Cup size
Your band size is your under bust in inches (this is, obviously, the numbers before the letter/cup)
The cup size is the difference of your bust and your under bust in inches, e.g if your underbust is 30 and your bust is 32, you'd be a 30B.
To figure out your cup size it's just Bust - underbust.
if the diff is 1inch your cup is A, if its 2 your cup is B, if its 3 your cup is C and so on.

To measure it you can do it yourself or go in-store to any lingerie shop. Although, in specific stores they'll sometimes just give you different bras to try on rather than measuring you as they don't want to touch you I guess

Sister sizes
Bras also have "sister sizes", which means that the size of both the band and cup are different but it fits basically the same, this is useful if you have a smaller unerbust as most stores typically don't go below 30
you can find your sister sizes here: https://customercare.victoriassecret.com/s/article/2050?language=en_US
Its typically waist band down + cup size up or the opposite

If you're using cm you can use this chart:

This thread is water for the most part but I thought maybe some of the girls would find this helpful :ayaya:

do you consider the bra to fit if the cup covers your whole boob or just above the nipple ?

Theres a lot of different style of bras/cups. The ones that dont cover your whole boob are usually "balcony" bras, those are the prettiest tho imo

yeah I only have this type but sometimes it feels too small even if its the exact same size idk

you might be having your waistband on the highest, since theres usually 3 clips at the back. Try and go down a clip and mess around with the straps if theyre adjustable

I always close it on the tightest idk if that's bad
its not inherently bad but if it feels too tight then just go down to the middle or lowest one
most people usually have it on middle but again, its just depending on how you like the fit ig
