the real Blackpillirony is the time you amassed on this website - in 5 months you've managed to spend a 1/5 of that existence on here and have been unable to provide any real meaningful feedback or theory on LMyussimania

As fat tissue decreases, the gonial angle becomes more visible. And prominent masseter muscles make the jawline appear more defined@Pearex thoughts ?
Read the LM question as "How to fix the angle specifically", but OP looks already lean to me.As fat tissue decreases, the gonial angle becomes more visible. And prominent masseter muscles make the jawline appear more defined

yes but this is just semioticsAs fat tissue decreases, the gonial angle becomes more visible. And prominent masseter muscles make the jawline appear more defined
Soooooo what I said basically minus lessen hyoid exposition ? I'll admit I'm not an expert on surgery thanks for your input.yes but this is just semiotics
if you truly want to change gonial angle it's gonna be surgical via implants, jaw shaving or bimax (doesnt apply to him)
OP's gonial angle from what i measured is basically 120°
I assume he wants it closer to 110° - in his case he's gonna have to augment the ramus to be lower to make the angle more acute
I also think his skull is small
shouldve said surgery and left it at thatSoooooo what I said basically minus lessen hyoid exposition ? I'll admit I'm not an expert on surgery thanks for your input.
A 110° angle might feel biomechanically alien to a small skull and slender neck structureyes but this is just semiotics

Didn't feed him cope, I just said lessening his hyoid exposition may improve his overall side profile too or to check with an orthodontist professional for non-surgical options. I haven't told him to bonesmash or to do jaw exercises.shouldve said surgery and left it at that
by feeding him cope he's not gonna be able to change his gonial angle - this is the type of shit people on reddit say
there's nothing wrong with his gonial angleA 110° angle might feel biomechanically alien to a small skull and slender neck structure
Could the current 120° angle exhibit a more harmonious flow with the lower facial height?
harmony is like a web - points connected by lines all interconnected by eachotherThe face should be considered not merely as a mathematical model composed of angles, but as a whole (harmony)
@yussimania
That's absolutely right, any comments made without an FHP reference and xray are somewhat unsubstantiated. The photo angle can be misleading if the ramus length isn't sufficient, narrowing the angle will also disrupt the vertical balance. I think the current profile looks quite balanced and aesthetically pleasing there's absolutely no need to alter the bone structurethere's nothing wrong with his gonial angle
imo 110-120 is fine I should have originally said it was unnecessary - I saw his profile as normal just that he has a small skull - maybe he's young - if not a small skull is defined by the ramus height so augmenting the ramus could help
then again this photo isnt even FHP and nor is it an xray I can accurately judge
Facial aesthetics are essentially a game of biometric balance. Forcing a single angle to the ideal figure can disrupt the natural flow and character of the rest of the face. What matters is not the individual value of the parts, but their symmetrical and proportional harmony with each otherharmony is like a web - points connected by lines all interconnected by eachother
if you shift one measure you shift the entire thing
sure you could be autistic about angles honing in on a specific one like gonial angle but then you miss how that interacts with the other points
