Today I used Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner and then blow dryed my hair with a volumizing diffuser, trying to blow dry upside down in the process.

I got good volume at the ends and on the back of my hair, but the roots on top of my head are still so flat.

Hairstylist recommended these:
* https://unitehair.com/products/expa...MI3IqEntTWjwMVGzEIBR3jGgq2EAQYAiABEgKIgPD_BwE
* https://www.ulta.com/p/boosta-volum...MItPXN7NTWjwMVDDYIBR25QAHREAQYAiABEgI-M_D_BwE

I also think looking into a sea salt spray could help me with texture and volume, although using all 3 may or not be overkill (although those products I added above are supposed to be lightweight

would love to help jeezus but im a black man with a luscious 4c mane

All I can think is avoid oily products and drying your hair upside down
thats so weird oilier products usually help with volume when it comes to curly hair

genetics eh

Fine 2a/2b struggles here 💀

dry your hair with a diffuser with gentle movements from bottom to top, "scrunching" the waves towards the roots, use little to no products at the roots too

bump

i put claw clips in my hair as my hair dries, maybe that could help u as well?
Yeah I could try that thanks I will try anything tbh esp. things that aren’t more products cuz I don’t wanna weigh hair down too much

Try a root lifting spray or sea salt spray for more volume at the roots
but don’t use too many products at once its going to weigh your hair down
