What you will need:
-Scale
-Tin foil
-A pot
-3 cups (can be paper, doesn't matter)
-A piece of cloth
-1 dl of acetone
-Bowl
-Jar
-Spoons
-Safety goggles
-Optional: Grater and gloves
1. Start by measuring up some sulphur (10g) , charcoal (15g) and some KNO3 (75g)
Mix sulphur and charcoal until they are homogenous
2. Boil 50ml of water in a pot
3. Add in KNO3 into water, wait for it to dissolve into the water
- The solution should look clear when it is done
4. Turn the heat down to medium and add the mixture of charcoal and sulphur, stir gently until everything solve
5. Scrape everything that sticks to the walls of the pot
6. When everything has dissolved, it should be completely black and a tar-like consistency, take it off the stove and move to a safe space
7. Pour acetone into the solution and be careful not to do it too fast (stir the solution as you are pouring in the acetone)
8. Take your piece of cloth and put it over your bowl, then pour the solution over the cloth.
9. After you have poured get the cloth and squeeze all excess liquid out into bowl (now is the time to wear gloves)
10. When you remove the cloth, after wringing out all liquids you will be left with black powder
11. Crush the ball of black powder and put it on the tin foil and let all the powder completely dry out
Now you have CIA method black powder
