How to Tie Your Shoelaces (standard knot)​

Step 1: Cross the laces​

Hold one lace in each hand. Cross them over each other to make an X.

Step 2: Pull through​

Take the lace that is now on top and push it under the other lace. Pull both ends tight. This makes the first knot.

Step 3: Make a bunny ear​

With one lace, make a small loop by folding it back on itself. Hold this loop between your thumb and finger.

Step 4: Wrap around​

Take the other lace and wrap it around the loop.

Step 5: Push through​

Push the wrapped lace through the small hole you just made to create a second loop.

Step 6: Pull tight​

Hold both loops and pull them gently to tighten the bow.

Step 7: Check​

Make sure the bow is tight and even so your shoe stays secure.
