HUNTER EYES VS PREY EYES:​



Luckily for women, the "type" of eyes a woman needs does not always exclusively have to be "hunter eyes" Both have their own appeal which can be played up depending on the vibes you wish to exude.

Hunter Eyes:

Hunter eyes are characterized by a deep-set, intense look, a more prominent brow ridge, and a horizontally narrow appearance. Evolutionarily, these eyes are believed to be adapted for focused vision, aiding in hunting and tracking. Aesthetically, hunter eyes are often associated with strength and determination, contributing to a more masculine or assertive appearance.

Key features of hunter eyes include:
  • Positive canthal tilt
  • Minimal to no scleral show
  • Deep set eyes
  • Moderately to no upper eyelid exposure
  • Usually almond shaped
  • Prominent brow ridge

Prey eyes, in contrast, are typically rounder with down-turned outer corners. These eyes give a more alert and wide-eyed look, which is historically advantageous for detecting predators.In terms of aesthetics, prey eyes often lend a more youthful, innocent, and feminine impression, making the eyes appear larger and more open.

Key characteristics of prey eyes include:
  • Neutral or usually negative canthal tilt
  • Major scleral show
  • Large/round eyes
  • Very visible upper eyelid exposure
  • Softer brow bone

IMPROVING YOUR EYE AREA:

Those with eye's leaning similar to hunter eyes should lean into the sultry, dominant and sharp look their eyes have. This can be done with dark, smudged liner/tightline around the eyes. Keep the brows arched, feathered and strong rather than round and soft. Avoid most fake lashes as it'll ruin the brow to lid ratio and really is only needed to hide upper eyelid exposure.

For those with eyes similar to prey ones, they should lean into the soft, innocent look. Rounded eye-shadow and doll/puppy style eyeliner. Keep the brows fluffy and perhaps upward angled. Big, doll lashes to hide upper eyelid exposure on the lower and upper lash line. Lean into a cute, soft and vulnerable look.

It is important to mention that sometimes trying to mimic one eye type when you have another usually does not work and looks uncanny. EG. those with upper eye lid exposure doing sexy, cat style eyeliner, it'll usually look uncanny and not flattering at all. Hunter eye women with natural sultry looks shouldn't go for a cutesy doll look and vice versa.

I think your eyes are similar to the hunter eye ones, you can use the tips I gave for those type of eyes!
