I can't get a job anywhere. Am I absolutely fucked? Should I just start lying on my resume?

I only have 1 year of relevant work experience. What's the harm is stretching the dates of the job to 10 years?

If a background check founds out I'm lying, I don't get the job, but I don't get the job either way. But if a background check only checks for felonies, I'm in the clear
