i can't stand eating with other people

not sure what that means. i have schizoid pd, ocd, gad diagnosed. at the iq of 144
It's short for neurodivergent. The Schizoid PD and OCD is interesting, though.

I wouldn't say it's normal to feel this way. Most humans do not react strongly negatively to most casual sound stimuli. Counting eating is a common activity we do, it's not normal to have such a strong reaction to it. Normally if you react this strongly to it, even if it's just thoughts and not actions, it's normally a symptom of neurodivergence. It can be learned behavior, such as socially you've been taught it's an awful sound in childhood or something, but it's less likely.

i hate any kind of noise in general too

What about it bothers you? If it's just sound in general then it's probably ND, I would assume. Have you ever looked into an Autism diagnosis? Schizoid PD and autism share a lot of similarities.

the fact that people are unconsciously acting like animals. my cousins often try to troll me by deliberately eating like pigs, but that doesnt bother me at all since it's intentional. baffles their minds because they don't get the root cause of my problem with it.

i m not autistic

Interesting. I've never heard a reason like that for disliking people eating. Why would it bother you that they act like an animal unconsciously? Wouldn't that imply you have an expectation for them to not act like animals?

I can relate. But for me sometimes the image in my head puts me off. Burps really disgust me, I get paranoid whenever I'm around someone drinking something that they will burp, so either I'm disgusted in my head and feel like vomiting, or I just leave. Same thing happens if anyone ever burps around me at any point.

I am generally squeamish with a lot of things like that. I remember seeing a friend chew with his mouth open when I was a kid, and that image disgusted me for years after and made me have issues eating with other people too. The noises that you mentioned as well.

It gets to the point where I am basically estranged from certain family members for not being able to put up with certain things.

Subhuman trait, ngl. Idk how I will handle eating with colleagues when I enter workforce, have to fix it

yeah. i'm generally allergic to animalistic, impulsive, low iq behavior of all kinds. specially producing necessary sounds, expressing yourself in worn out idioms, saying the most obvious things etc
