The internet is actually so frickin' cringe it's insane. I try not to rot on mainstream social media sites ( YouTube included ) and even on forums like these I just tick with gentle banter and the users I like. I try to stay away from all the degenerate discussions like porn or ragebaiting and stuff.
The amount of destruction it has led to our social environment is actually insane. Just now I was at some store for breakfast. I think like more than ~70 percent of peoplet there were just glued to their phones.
Try to avoid it at all costs. Sites like these too, I am toning down my usage.
