i don't understand the hype around traveling

not even talking about regular people who go on vacation once or twice per year, but about more wealthy ones (not millionaires, but still financially independent), who throw away thousands of euros on trips every weekend just to be able to post a couple of pics online

idk if i'm coping, but i i see 0 point and pleasure in spending 2 days to get the logistics for the trip done, then spending half a day to go from a to b, then rotting on a beach or in bars in b for a day or two, spending most of your time taking pics and videos to post on social networks, and then going back home

what are these people trying to prove? so sad

Idk ik a family like that I guess it just depends on what kind of person you are. People with low energy or who are less social probably won't enjoy it much. Their health quality probably helps

I've always just gone on one way tickets with no plan whatsoever. When the money runs out I go back. Never took any pictures either.

i get families, specially those with little kids, doing that. vacations were the peak of my year when i was a kid. but here i'm talking about 25+ people doing this shit alone or with a "mysterious" someone, who seem more concerned with making everyone know they are living that high life than with actually enjoying their holidays. holy cringerino.

• 99% of places are worse than where i currently live
• with the internet you can see most of it anyway (sure you don't get the direct experience, but it's pretty close)
