people would sit down here to read this thread and the tickets would be sold out

our conversation of 10 people was a performance for 3000 people to read

@ey88

it prolly means 3k clicked on their notis which makes them re enter the thread, no way there’s 3k in here
Yes, you're correct. If the page has been fully rendered, then it counts as a view. Refreshing the page will count as a new view. Exiting and viewing the thread counts as a new view, as well.

Holy fuck we are legit famous
based on the amount of posts you have and total views im guessing over 100k people have seen your threads and 10k people would remember something about you

Are you being serious? There’s no way you think 3000 users clicked on your thread.

It says 3000 views

Maybe some bots
A majority would be bots. Only a small % would be human guests. Still a decent amount, to be honest. More than 10 human guests reading that is actually a statistical significant amount for an off topic thread, believe it or not.

Technically the owner of the site (Dean) can view the information of the viewers of the thread and see in depth which ones are humans and which ones are bots, so this is over simplified on the user end. The more a thread gets popular (so just active) the more bots will index it. This is mainly done for SEO reasons, but it's now also done for mass collecting data and training Generative AI.

It legit says bluepillers which is like people with no accounts
I can understand why this is confusing. This is normally under the assumption people are being honest about disclosing that they're using a bot. It's actually mainly a self disclosure thing. You probably had a lot of guests render the first page, saw it was junk to them and then exited the page.

To give you an example, 0.50% is deemed a very good human click rate. If we bumped it up to 1%, it would be about 30 users viewing it. Which is amazing if you know the data about click rates for humans.

I've never seen anything above 5%, I'm not sure if it's even possible to get anything beyond that point to be honest. I'm sure it is possible, but I've never personally seen it.

It actually is an issue for a lot of site owners. I'm assuming Dean gets near 1 million (give or take) monthly views based off of his monthly subscription of $150. He has to pay more when a page is rendered, but this is under the assumption he's not self hosting or hosting elsewhere and is hosting with XenForo themselves.
