I've never actually read of any Vladimir Nabokov's works. I should consider it though. Lolita is obviously one of his more controversial works, so I may start off with that just because I'm curious.
If reading is hard for you to get into, starting off with comics/manga/etc or fanfiction is a good start, and then slowly progressing up to long novels. Whatever gets you interested in reading is always a good thing.
