I have also read the studies about how cruciferous veggies might lower cancer risk but I think most of that study is epidemiological or associative studies

the claim it can reduce cancer is not confirmed at all. when tested in prospective cohort studies, the results were basically null

these vegetables contain something called glucosinolates, which are broken down into active compounds. they modulate metabolism, reduce oxidative stress, promote "detox" enzymes, promote cell death in precancerous cells, and a lot of other great things. however, most of these findings mostly come from animal studies. human bioavailability of these compounds is highly dependent on genetics, gut microbiome, and cooking methods. raw consumption may be ideal. its not like meat, where you can actually gain benefits from cooking

however, to ignore all of that and make it simple, cruciferous veggies contribute to fiber and rich micronutrients with low calories and minimal risk, so i recommend

as expected, I knew that cruciferous veggies ain’t allat, you are right

But, this claim right here made by you is I believe wrong as, rich in micronutrients? Sure but there aren’t bioavailable also they contain small amounts of toxins like isothiocyanate which could potential disrupt thyroid functions (not like it will make a difference but it’s worth noting)

Fiber? I mean it’s not essential if you are well hydrated I would say
