Yep, dark skin is a failo in South Asia but ironically when I see couples, there’s usually a noticeable discrepancy in skin color. Since I’m just medium brown, I don’t think it affects me much. Here in the west, it’s all about face and mine is subpar.I thank God everyday I wasn’t born in curryland, darkskin has like -100 smv there jfl
dark skin is more of a failo for girls, its kinda over at that point. if you are a guy maybe some hope still leftYep, dark skin is a failo in South Asia but ironically when I see couples, there’s usually a noticeable discrepancy in skin color. i do, maybe not that much since we just started talkingyou dont like him
Yeah, in a lot of couples, it’s usually the guy that’s darker. Not by much normally speaking but I’ve seen outliers as well. I’m neither light nor dark, just in-between.dark skin is more of a failo for girls, its kinda over at that point. if you are a guy maybe some hope still left
Ohh gosh lol, luckily indians consider me pale enough but its so brutal i see so many people being bullied over dark skin. I think in india it may be the only thing that matters as long as you arent obese. My dad is really dark skinned but he had hazel eyes so do i. In my family most people are light skinned, but my mami (mothers brothers wife) was a little tanned and my grandma used to bully her so much for it. But they lived in USA afterwards so it dint matter.Yeah, in a lot of couples, it’s usually the guy that’s darker. Not by much normally speaking but I’ve seen outliers as well. In my family, the phenotypes can range. The biggest and funniest comparison to me will be some kid and his grandmother.
They are the darkest person and the lightest person in the family. The darkest person is an elderly woman and the lightest person is her grandson. She’s as dark as the night sky, whereas he’s got light skin, green eyes and blond hair.
When I saw him, I thought he was just a random villager living in my village but then I visited family members and that’s where I saw him again, turns out he’s family. Nice kiddo, he said hi to me when he saw me the first time (before visiting their house).
Haha that’s funny. My dad’s also sorta dark, especially compared to my mom, but he had brown hair growing up which I think is so cool. Light features on lighter people makes sense, but light features on darker people is so much cooler. I remember being in a city close to Lahore in 2022, and I had this rickshaw driver. He was Punjabi, with dark skin but he had light, turquoise eyes. I was laughing inside thinking to myself, “Model in the west, rickshaw driver in Pakistan.”Ohh gosh lol, luckily indians consider me pale enough but it’s so brutal i see so many people being bullied over dark skin. Literally, my dad lowkey mogged and my mami did too shes like 5'8 and shi but its sad to think they are considered ugly here. I knew this beautiful dark skinned girl, literally one of the most prettiest girls and it was so sad she constantly talked about bleaching her skin.Haha that’s funny. I have very open-minded family members. Knowing how dark skin is looked down upon, I said to my family “I’m going to marry a black woman.” Know what they said? “As long as she’s Islamic, we don’t mind.” Lol, other South Asian parents would probably strangle their sons on the spot for it. 5’8” is a good height, my bhabhi is around that height. She’s darkskinned too, but facially meh. Personality wise not good either, idk what my brother sees in her.Literally, my dad lowkey mogged and my mami did too shes like 5'8 and shi but its sad to think they are considered ugly here. Thats great, my parents are pretty close-minded like for them only a rajput/brahmin lightskinned indian doctor/government job. But i dont know if i will listen to them. I hope the newer generation would be more open-minded its especially sad considering half the people here are dark-skinned. I hope its better in south india atleast. My mami is pretty bitchy ngl, but i think she looks great. My cousin when she came back from US wanted to get more tanned but my mami had to explain to her its considered bad here.I have very open-minded family members. Yeah, native South Asians are usually more traditional. There’s exceptions as well though. And yeah, your cousin would be committing social suicide if she’s gonna get tanned. I don’t think any South Asian can wrap their heads around the idea of tanning. It’s like desecrating a holy place for them.Thats great, my parents are pretty close-minded like for them only a rajput/brahmin lightskinned indian doctor/government job. nahh, lived here all my life. its practically over if you have darkskin as a girl, even your gender wont help. youll always get bullied etc, guys face it too but a little less.In the west, yeah maybe
but atleast from the stuff I’ve seen online, darkskin is a failo for both guys and girls in South Asia, atleast women can get by cause of their gender though lol
