i got curious about the whole weight loss drug/peptide stuff while i was off this forum and started looking into it and bought semaglutide (was only looking for the appetite suppressant effects.. so i didn’t get retatrutide, reta has been trending majorly these past months) off some website. works like crazy bruh and it’s so helpful when ur cutting
idgaf if people say it’s cheating

How much weight did you loose?
been on it for only a month now, i lost 10 lbs. i was already normal weight so its not as jurassic as someone who would be bigger. i still wanna lose maybe 10 more. 130>120. thinking about 110 or 115. i’m not sure what id prefer.

Did you risk some muscles atrophy on semaglutide ?

Did you risk some muscles atrophy on semaglutide ?
since i was in quite the steep deficit, yes. the only way i prevented MORE MAJOR muscle loss is by training very hard in the gym and eating lots of protein. i definitely lost muscle from this.

Wouldn't reta be better for a gymcel over sema ?
yes for sure, that’s why i looked into that too
personally tho i was looking for appetite suppression and semaglutide does a better j*b at that than tirz or reta. my appetite is insane when im cutting which is why i prioritized that.

i responded to ur pm btw
also im 5’4, my diet consists of mainly whole foods. on peptides like this, processed foods REALLY hurt you and make you feel like shit so i didn’t even have a choice, really.
the whole foods i enjoy are steak, chicken, mussels, potatoes, greek yogurt, eggs, and all kinds of fruits. i do have rice and white bread occasionally. i love making egg sandwiches.

What is your goal physique wise ? Do you have a inspo pic?

i don’t really have inspo pics tbh since i wont be able to look like all the girls i find ‘goals.’
BUT my goal bf% is 19-20 since thats the healthiest as a woman while still being somewhat lean. i still want fat where i need it.

also way more expensive tbh

sema is the cheapest
tbh depends what site, i was really going to buy reta but sema had more appetite suppressing effects.
although the nausea is much worse with sema than tirz and reta.
i might try reta in a few months.

I was considering getting semaglutide but I couldn't find a longitudinal study that was over 2 - 2.5 years. I'm interested but I'm afraid of the long term side effects that will be impacting people later in age. Kind of like how we saw with cigarettes and how we're seeing with vapes and weed now. Not the best examples because all of those have to do with the lungs, but you get my point. I also know that most people who end up getting off of it end up gaining the weight back. For diabetics it's meant to be a lifetime medicine.

Have you noticed anything negative so far?

people who gain the weight back just didn’t create lifestyle changes/habits after their appetites went back to normal, currently i have small issues with the peptide. if i eat too much, my stomach is in crazy amounts of pain and i wont be able to lay on my stomach, this is only when i eat more processed and sugary foods. the sulfur burping… it’s very annoying and feels like i might vomit, again the sulfur burping may be due to a food that didn’t sit right with me. the burping isn’t as bad now as it was. at first i also felt very fatigued, but that’s definitely due to the steep deficit im in.
i think the biggest side effect, consider it neither bad or good, is that eating has just become a chore and i never get hungry. i can go days without eating if i pleased (i don’t, never would). to most that may be a goal (yet unhealthy) , but since i go to the gym this isn’t a good thing. i must eat regularly and sufficiently for muscle. i dont recommend this to gym goers. after i’m out of sema, ill be purchasing reta. it’s said that the appetite with reta isn’t as strong as sema and is better for gym goers due to the other benefits as well.
