I walked down with 2 of my friends after school, got talking with the coach, etc.
I'm really good at the wrestling and seeing opportunities, but I'm lowkey buns at striking.
I was equally matched with a dude who's got a similar build and a year of experience.

We were sparring (so maybe he went easy on me), but I got him into a clean submission.
Dodged under his jab, grabbed his leg, put it onto my shoulder and thrusted up.
He fell, I was able to get behind him and got him in a chokehold.

It's a really good start, for a one-day old mma trainee
In my experience in MMA having a strong wrestling and a strong striking like muay-thaï will do the job

That’s awesome bud good luck with it
Yeah, the coach said that I was great considering that I'm new to all this.
He's also glad to see a southpaw as no one else is left-handed there.
