If a society can agree upon a religious set of morals and guiding principles and community, then I'd argue that overall happiness would far surpass your idea of wiping civilization out. Now this wouldn't work in instances with people of conflicting values, but as a general rule I think it works. You sound like you lack any direction and are just a depressed young teen.
