they spy on everything you do and sell that information to insurance companies to charge you more. they paywall basic features like heated seats and horsepower that the car is already capable of from of the factory. they will also soon include remote kill switches / backdoors so that police can just turn your car off at will from anywhere and of course spy on you.
there's no end to it, every smart device, toaster, the Internet of things, all function the same way. it's the same tired model in which you own nothing and they get rich collecting your soul and selling it back to you.
how did we stray so far from the age of enlightenment ideals presented in the 4th amendment, that every dystopian novel warned us about, that thousands of patriots died for, to where we are now?
