I had the same issue when j looked in the mirror i looked good when someone took a photo i looked bad, what you can do is try to figure out why you look good in a mirror maybe you are lifting up tour chin or your in a 3/4th then get someone to take a photo shoot of you where you try there poses lifting your chin up facing a bit more away from the camara and this will teach you how to look better in candid shots
