Honestly,Alzheimer’s is the most dangerous disease ever but no one ever talks about it.

The fact that something barely known of based on research and completely invisible,it turns old people into zombies.
I know most of this is totally water, but I’d put a bullet in my head if I ever get diagnosed with it.

Quick story time:My Grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s,it was very simple,he forgot small things, months moved on and his mood started altering aggressively for small reasons. A couple of months later, around the second year he was still normal,he just wasn’t quite in his head and it was very simple, forgetting, confusion, behavior. But spoil 3 years later and he completely wasn’t in his head,it’s like he’s not living anymore, and it was like his functions were hanging by a thread, speech, neuroactivity, childlessness and the forgetting of his own children. A couple months later he forgot how to swallow, died of fatal pneumonia.

It’s something that no one discusses,a person with Alzheimer’s also can’t visually see the world properly,no they’re not blind, but they get so many hallucinations that they can barely convince themselves that they’re alive.
Patients are constantly confused, but even they can’t describe why or how.
Fun fact: people with late stage Alzheimer’s can die of thirst because they can start to hate water.
In rare cases, the patient forgets how to walk, how to talk, how to eat,how to drink and at the end they even forget how to breathe.

100% chance of death, once you get Alzheimer’s you’re automatically experiencing a very slow and very sufferable death.

Yay

i feel like its probably even worse for the family and friends
Also another thing.
They need constant care for everything, they wake up in the middle of the night, they can confuse something toxic like laundry detergent with something else and eat it and also the constant reminding of things is terrible,Alzheimer patients can literally ask the same question over and over again.

my grandpa also passed away from Alzheimer's. he didn't show any signs of it until one day, he went to buy bread from a store very close to our house and got lost. he was lost for like 12 hours, just wandering around the neighborhood, trying to find his way back. he wasn't even very old

Yeah my great grand mother had it. It was brutal seeing her forget about her own son

Yeah my grandpa also used to sometimes go outside,be confused and stay outside for hours while the whole family was worrying,at the end he’d remember the street name and strangers guided him home.
