Not to fret, I was in a similar situation as you at your age (fuck I feel old LOL), being a weird, awkward teen just starting hs but don't worry too much.
Normie advice would be "omg just be yourself!!! be authentic!! find ur ppl <333" but fuck that shit. HS is a social hierarchy and prep for adult hierarchies. Being into anime or nerdy hobbies isn't neccessarily social suicide nowsdays, even as a ltb. I'm guessing that ur some level of autism or adhd, and trust I'm adhd too so I'm not just talking out of my ass.
Once you start HS, you have to act like a normie basically. Keep your interests to yourself, OBSERVE your classmates and cliques. But don't be too quiet and antisocial or you'll look weird, NT social rules are full of contridictions like that. Give as little information about yourself as possible, or only info that would be seen as inconsequential. But always let others talk about themselves, people loveee to hear themselves talk and they'll see you as more likeable.
Only share your interests if someone else divulges that info, never be the first person to admit those things. Only use social media casually, don't care too much about it but don't competely isolate yourself from it. If you want to engage in nerdy hobbies, do so anonymously online and don't post personal info.
Create a clear seperation between "normie" hs life, and your more nerdy "authentic" online life. This is coming from someone who got bullied a lot in junior high for being cringe, emo, nerdy etc to being relatively liked in HS and having a decent friend group and positive status. It sucked, it was draining emotionally and mentally, but I didn't have to deal with bullying or social ostricization. Well, that's all I can think of. Your age range is a really difficult time for most people, so you're definitely not alone for feeling shitty or lonely because of it. Just learn to think of social situations as a game, and things will be a lot easier for you.
