Discussion introversion vs extroversion

not advising u do this but the conditioning I did is go outside, take drugs, make friends, etc. even if it feels stupid and awkward do it anyway and u get into a rhythm.

extremely pathetic tbh ik but all my friendships in ~last 5 years were either started by or revolve around getting intoxicated. I just personally needed that crutch and commonality w people and still do.

Drugs to larp extroversion is a ticking time bomb

Just focus on your own path if you’re an introvert, you’ll be happier

I should've reinforced that there are risks and most likely ugly consequences for anyone who chooses this as a lifestyle.

I take the good with the bad, at the time I was a 15yo neet gamer so they were like water in the desert for me.

YEAH and esp bc it makes you loosen up and be more inclined to speak your mind you also form genuine connections

the friends i make at parties are always the realest and they typically dont conform to society

i’m gonna read every reply to this thread in detail tmr morning and give a detailed response because i’m on my phone rn and i really can’t do this

so i was thinking you know how a lot of people are introverted or extroverted? like how introverts just don’t feel that inclined to talk but extroverts are comfortable with it?

i feel like it’s not something genetic instead it something that is conditioned, but on the other hand, no matter how much i pretend to be extroverted it’s still really uncomfortable to force myself to talk to other people

just wanted to start a discussion around this.

questions u can answer maybe:

1. is there a different brain composition(not physically but yk what i mean) for introverts/extroverts?
2. what’s conditioning can you do to change or force yourself to be more extroverted, or is it something that is inherent in you, like how some people are just born with higher iq
Extroverts are three times as numerous as introverts, easy to see why

Most people are not polarised

Introversion correlates somewhat with ND and is based on acetylcholine rewards, extroversion on dopamine rewards

The acetylcholine pathway is longer than the dopamine pathway and is related to processing information

This means that you can obviously train yourself to 'become' more extroverted

wow i thought introverts were more common. when i walk into a room there’s always only like 5 people out of 20 talking while the rest are usually quiet

i agree with the most people aren’t polarized tho. i think in the end everybody experiences some sort of introversion or social anxiety, and that’s what makes us all human, our introversion, our extroversion, not everything is black and white

Idk i always have been extroverted
