I think you're forgetting about one crucial thing, the conception of adulthood, teenagehood and childhood are purely social constructs (shout-out @filth ) . The main problem about huge age gaps in relationships is the inequality in power that can lead to one person being abused and forced into situations that are toxic and dangerous for them. There's not much difference between an 18 yo and a 17 yo psychologically thinking, so basing your morality simply and purely on legality is morally flawed for this type of conversation.
